How Can I
Believe?... You gave me your hand,
When I'd walked all alone.
You taught me to stand,
When the ground was my home.
You brought me the light,
As my love, as my friend.
You led me to believe,
that my darkness had come to an end.
When you emptied my soul
into your sudden distant heart,
I never would've imagined
a worse pain's start.
The miracle of light
that I'd grown to love,
Had burned my body and soul into less than it was.
You gave me the world
of which I'd always dreamed,
But now that it's gone,
how can I believe?
